Entry deadline (for crews racing in own craft) : 15 Oct 2017 (we will accept registrations late, but you are responsible for securing your own boat and you may not be guaranteed an event T-shirt)

This is a 45km sea race. The course will start at Kellett Island in the Victoria Harbour, going clockwise around the island, along Shek O and Stanley before arriving at Middle Island. The course then continues on past Aberdeen, Cyberport and Green Island before heading back into the bustling harbour and finally back to Kellett Island.


Change course competitors will change crews at Middle Island.


The course will then take rowers around Aberdeen, through the Harbour and back to Kellett Island.

Please read instructions to the support boat in English and Chinese.

Support crews will load from the Noonday Gun. If you need to pick up your spare blades from the club, go to the club pontoon tor retrieve the blades after the boats have been loaded at the Noonday Gun. Support crew should be ready to load 50 minutes before race start. 















Every crew will require a motorized escort boat.

Support junk boats are allowed for Rowing but only craft under 30ft can enter the race course area. If supporting on a junk you will have to keep clear of the race course and competitors.


If you need any assistance in securing an escort boat, contact Lyesin Wong (safetyboatatir@gmail.com) and she can direct you to companies that offer boat rental services.

Please note that due to limited boat availability for coastal rowing boats, DO NOT REGISTER until you have been confirmed to have a boat allocated. We will confirm by email once a boat has been allocated to you.


Please note that the racing crews will be expected to provide their own safety equipment (e.g. pfds, first aid kit) – please see race rules for details.
